Integration Benefits

What InboxEagle Adds to SendGrid

Inbox Placement Testing

Seed list tests measure actual placement across 20+ providers. SendGrid shows delivery events only.

Real-Time Reputation Alerts

Instant alerts when your SendGrid IP or domain reputation changes. SendGrid provides metrics but no alerts.

Warm-up Monitoring

Track placement during IP warm-up to catch reputation issues early. SendGrid has no warm-up monitoring.

DMARC Aggregate Reports

Full DMARC report parsing and alignment failure detection.

Observability

Monitoring Gaps in SendGrid

SendGrid provides robust campaign features, but lacks visibility into where emails actually land. InboxEagle fills these gaps.

Feature
Missing in SendGrid
Inbox Placement
SendGrid reports delivery (bounces, blocks) but not inbox vs. spam placement.
Reputation Alerts
You must manually check reputation metrics; no proactive alerting.
Warm-up Monitoring
No placement tracking during IP warm-up phase.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues & Solutions

API key has insufficient permissions
Recreate the key with "Mail Send" read access. The key needs permission to read bounce and statistics data.
Domain not authenticated
In SendGrid, go to Settings → Sender Authentication and authenticate your sending domain with DKIM.
Warm-up events not syncing
Ensure your SendGrid dedicated IP is in warm-up mode and campaigns are actively sending through that IP.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Does InboxEagle work with SendGrid Subusers?
Yes, but you must generate the API key from the parent SendGrid account, not a subuser account.
Can I test placement before my warm-up completes?
Yes. InboxEagle monitors placement in real time, so you can test and measure placement at any stage of warm-up.
What does "Mail Send" API access allow?
Read-only access to your sending domain, bounce events, complaint events, and engagement metrics. No data modification.
