OAuth connection fails
Make sure you have admin access to your HubSpot account. Re-authorize and check that no popup blockers prevented the connection.
Wrong sending domain detected
Go to HubSpot Settings → Email → Sending Domain and verify which domain is set as default.
Seed emails not being sent
Ensure seed addresses are in HubSpot as contacts. Check that your email is not filtering them out.

What does HubSpot email authentication involve?
HubSpot email authentication means three DNS-based checks on the domain you send from: SPF, DKIM and DMARC. HubSpot's sending domain setup covers HubSpot SPF and HubSpot DKIM, and you publish the records it gives you at your DNS provider. HubSpot DMARC is different, because it is a policy record you create yourself at your DNS provider. You can check each record with InboxEagle's free SPF, DKIM and DMARC record checkers, and InboxEagle checks your DMARC policy record every 24 hours and alerts you if it changes.
How do I handle HubSpot DKIM setup and HubSpot SPF configuration?
For HubSpot DKIM setup, open HubSpot's email sending domain settings, connect your domain and publish the DNS records HubSpot shows you. For HubSpot SPF configuration, make sure the one SPF record on your sending domain includes HubSpot as an authorized sender, instead of publishing a second SPF record, because a domain can only have one. Then verify both records with the free SPF and DKIM record checkers.
What is HubSpot SPF alignment and does it matter for DMARC?
HubSpot SPF alignment means the domain SPF validates (the Return-Path domain) matches the domain in your From address. DMARC passes when either SPF or DKIM aligns, so if SPF passes on a domain HubSpot controls but does not align with your From domain, DKIM alignment has to carry DMARC. Open the Authentication-Results header on a delivered HubSpot email to see which domain each check used.
